Instructors

Dana Bliss

Dana Bliss joined American Ballet Academy in 2011.  She trained at The Conservatory of the Dance in Mankota, MN, National Ballet in Toronto, Ontario, National Academy of Dance in Champaign, IL, and Southwest Ballet in Fort Worth, TX.  She has studied with Larry Rhodes, David Howard, Melissa Hayden, Yoko Ichino and many more renowned instructors.  She danced professionally with Minnesota Dance Theatre, Minnesota Opera Company and Minnesota Ballet.  She has taught at Minnesota Dance Theatre in Minneapolis, MN, Zenon Dance Company in Minneapolis, MN, St.Paul Ballet Academy in St. Paul, MN, Dance Spectrum in St. Paul, MN, Westside Academy in Tigard, OR, and Allegro Dance Studio in Canby, Oregon.  She has had a large number of students train for professional careers.  She does well in striking a fine balance between the discipline that ballet requires and the fun the kids so need to fall in love with the art.  We are very fortunate to have Miss Dana at American Ballet Academy.

Andee Fischer

Andee Fischer studied Dance at Western Oregon University.  Miss Andee’s love of dance and passion for kids is evident the moment she steps into the door.  She is well versed in many forms of dance, including ballet, jazz tap, Scandinavian, African, and Hula.  She has choreographed numerous original pieces.  She has completed extensive studies in teaching dance to young children.  Her knowledge and understanding of anatomy and physiology, and in particular how it applies to dance in young children, will ensure the safe training of your dancers.  Miss Andee’s energy and charisma are contagious.  Your child will love dance when studying with Miss Andee!
